BE STRONG, BE GRATEFUL, BE CALM... WE WILL GET THROUGH THIS. #STAYHOME. Here is our rundown on lifestyle cornerstones for physical and emotional health during these hard times.

1

DON´T WATCH THE NEWS:

A morning glance at the headlines will be enough to keep you abreast of the hysteria, so avoid it as much as you can. It is enough to check only once in a while some selected reliable sources.

EAT REAL FOOD:

Choose foods that nourish you. Top immune-boosting foods are asparagus, avocado, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, cabbage, carrots, onion, garlic, ginger, thyme, oregano, oranges, lemons, grapefruit, blueberries, kiwi, coconut, mushrooms, honey, and almonds.

AVOID OR REDUCE ALCOHOL:

Be very careful with that glass of wine or two. Be fully present at the moment and reduce inputs that degrade your immune system.

PURSUE SOMETHING CREATIVE AT LEAST 10 MINUTES A DAY:

Find joy in the opportunity to create. It can be anything from drawing to cooking new recipes.

STICK TO YOUR ROUTINES:

It is crucial for your mental health to follow your routines as much as you can even if you do not leave the house. You will be busy and will feel better about yourself at the end of the day.

HELP OUT IF YOU CAN:

There are so many people struggling these days: from medical professionals to small businesses and people who lost their jobs. Donate and use your connections to help out. This little action could literally save somebody´s life.

STAY WELL HYDRATED:

If you are not drinking lemon water yet, it is time to do so. Lemon pH is 9.9, one of the highest among all foods and much above the coronavirus pH level that varies from 5.5 to 8.5. This virus has a little chance to survive in your throat if you drink lemon water frequently during the day.

GET AS MUCH ACTIVITY AND EXERCISE AS YOU CAN:

Find a few minutes every day to stretch and or do a simple workout using one of the multiple mobile apps. Or just turn on the music you like and dance!

IF YOU ARE OVERWHELMED, JUST LET IT GO:

Home-shelter is not an easy task especially if it extended in time. So if something goes wrong, breathe in and breathe out and just let it go. Remember, that your sanity is very important right now. Place value on it.

SMILE AND LAUGH OFTEN:

Challenge yourself to feel the joy in little everyday things and be grateful for everything you have. Smile every time you look at the mirror, that will be a great boost for your spirit. Now it is also a good time to watch again the comedy that made you laugh so many years ago or just listen to humor monologues.

VIDEO-CALL THE PEOPLE YOU LOVE ON A DAILY BASIS:

There is nothing better for the soul and your emotional health than connecting with the people you love and appreciate. Make it daily, provide and receive this emotional support much needed these days.
